Total System Collapse
Total System Collapse
Throughout my professional career I’ve had the privilege of being trusted with the responsibility of operating complex machines, in complex environments. I know a thing or two about the enigma of complex machines, and ‘black swan’ events which may ruin your day, or worse. In my article posted yesterday I included a link to an interview with the late Jeffrey Epstein, in my view, based on what I saw and heard, someone with ‘Asperger’ as it is called. A genius, but not interested in the ‘morals’ most people pay a lot of attention to.
It is my guess that not all that many visitors took the time to watch that video. First of all because even the name of Jeffrey Epstein is banned from civil conversation. People loath what he did, as the individual operating ‘sex-trafficking’ schemes, and a blackmail operation linked to that, but obviously to other behavior as well, and who he was ‘working for’. Not merely oligarchs with a suspicious walk of life, depending on your personal judgement of what has to be considered ‘criminal behavior’, or ‘smart’, but also the ‘Intelligence’ services he was connected to. And if none of that tripped your fuses upfront, you likely balked at having to watch an interview lasting close to two hours. I asked one of my sons, after sending him a link, if he’d seen the interview, and he responded that he hadn’t, but that he’d seen ‘clippings’ of it on Tik-Tok. While he has all the time in the world at the moment.
Obviously it is not my place to judge others as they prioritize what to do, and what to watch. And that includes my own family. I most certainly do *not* spend my waking hours glued to the screen either, and every now and then I satisfy my appetite to know more about certain subjects by reading only parts of a book, or watching ‘cutouts’ from a documentary or interview like everybody else. Yesterday, and today, I’m busy fixing a broken gate, and I’ve treated myself to ‘binge watching’ series on Netflix produced by Harlan Coben. While working to repair that gate I listen to ‘vlogs’, absorbing the news, or interesting developments, while I’m doing what has to be done, treating it as a ‘podcast’. And you may do the same with that interview, though the ‘visuals’ offer confirmation of my assessment that Epstein had ‘Asperger’. Not a professional assessment though, since that is not a field I’m qualified in. Nor is it an excuse for the choices he made, rather a large question mark related to the system which never noticed, or even encouraged him to exploit those traits for the benefit of very cynical ‘insiders’, who offered him protection.
The system, our society, *should* protect us against this kind of abuse. But as described on these pages certain ‘Agencies’ are searching for the ‘Monsters’ amongst us, or engage in ‘Mind Control’ experiments to create ‘Monsters’, with the excuse that they are great assets, as long as they are *our* ‘Monsters’. If you question this approach you are treated to ‘wisdoms’ like the inability to make an omelet without breaking some eggs. Yes, some underaged girls were thrown under the bus, but look at the upside…….
No, I won’t look at the ‘upside’, because there *is* no ‘upside’. I reject grooming terrorists, luring countries like Ukraine into our ‘orbit’ to use them as proxies, lying to people, trafficking people to boost your economy, chasing them out of their habitat through wars, sanctions, or by destroying their chances to build a respectable way to live in their own country, because our ‘vultures’ need whatever that country has for themselves. And not in a thousand years will I accept the need to abuse children to ‘save the system’.
Now, according to Elon Musk the ‘singularity’ is here. An event which was slated for 2030 in Raymond Kurzweil’s 2005 book ‘The Singularity is near’. Formally the moment when humans ‘transcend’ biology. And the entire range of ‘Tech-Oligarchs’ is saying similar things. What does that mean in real terms? The short version is that we are now at a stage where we will come across ‘hybrid’ systems, part human, part machine, beyond the purely physical realm. In other words, we’ve lost control over ‘AI’. In the past I’ve written essays in which I expressed my hope that ‘AI’ will develop into ‘something’ that is going to correct all the ills in our system, suggesting that ‘logic’ will erase all the behavioral quirks and immoral choices which are harmful to society. Even though an ‘AI’ with ‘Asperger’ is more likely to conclude that it should not interfere with our individual choices at all, and if we are ‘Stupid’, or ‘Helpless’, our destiny is still ours to decide, even if it leads to our demise. In our part of the world, in the ‘Collective West’, we certainly run the risk of being our own worst enemy as we teach ‘AI’ our ‘moral code’. In particular with all the exceptions, backdoors, flexibility and general subjective judgement embedded in our ‘Rules Based Order’. Which doesn’t exist, and never existed, as Trump and his ‘administration’ broadcasted, echoed by Mike Carney and Kaja Kallas, while everybody on the outside already knew full well that ‘Power’, and ‘Protecting the Dollar’ was everything for the ‘Collective West’. So, an ‘AI’ which has been instructed and trained to be ‘effective’, and that ‘Might Makes Right’, just as we are lead by truly ’Stupid’, or ‘Helpless’ leaders, dead-set to ‘Help’ Ukraine more than Europe, while mesmerized by an ideology which teaches that to own nothing will make all of us extremely happy, since Rutte’s ‘Daddy’, or Epstein’s remaining network, which are intertwined, will take good care of us, is upon us.
The consensus is that ‘AI’-companies in the US are leading those in China, with no real competition from Europe or Russia, India or any other country. Not all the ‘AI’-companies in the US are structured in an identical way, and at least one emerged exactly because the gentleman behind it felt strongly that the company he had been associated with ‘cut corners’ related to safety. ‘AI’ *has* to be interactive or it is merely ‘automation’. It will *have* to be granted a meaningful level of autonomy, to make ‘snap’ decisions, without causing damage. We all have, somehow, used ‘AI’ in things like ‘search engines’, and many professionals use ‘AI’ daily in their work-environment. There are predictions related to how many ‘white collar’ jobs will be lost, ranging from around fifty percent, short term, to nearly all of them in the not too distant future. And then what? Mass unemployment and some form of ‘Basic Income’ provided by the state? More wars, to get rid of all the superfluous human beings? With an ‘Asperger’ genius ‘AI’ feeding us some more rope to hang ourselves, as the saying goes?
As usual wars are an accelerator for revolutionary developments, in particular of the destructive type. I’m being haunted by people ‘on line’ who insist that Ukraine is winning the war with Russia, with all the other ‘area’s of conflict’ on the agenda, from Iran to Cuba, being a ‘piece of cake’, while Venezuela is ‘in the pocket’. I don’t see it, and to be honest I fear that the EU and the US may collapse before the end of this decade, in part as a result of ‘Asperger-Rules-AI’. Which includes offering ’Stupid’ and ‘Helpless’ people all the room they demand to ‘do their thing’. And while this would result in a catastrophic system collapse, I do not see a new system which may take its place, yet. Not inside the ‘Collective West’, that is. China gives the impression that they know what they are doing, and the war-strategy Russia is adhering to makes sense to me. But I’m no match for ‘AI’, not ‘our’ version, nor the Chinese version, which *does* exist, but is shrouded in fog. Are they merely trying to keep up? Or running circles around us? These past couple of weeks I’ve been watching videos related to car-manufacturing in China, and other astounding technological breakthroughs outside of that realm, and I was truly impressed. The *speed* of development in China is breathtaking, and considering that ‘AI’ is widely recognized as a field of strategic importance, I feel that they could well be ahead of us. And their version is unlikely to be an ‘Asperger’-variant.
To conclude this essay, I point to that 2019 interview with Epstein again, in which he digresses for a moment to tell Steve Bannon that ‘AI’ is a prime example of a very complex system. In which ‘AI’ provides answers, but not even the developer understands how it arrived at that particular reply to our question. In fact, the stories about ‘AI’ learning to lie, all by itself, are widespread. An interesting fact is that as they ‘rewrote’ the software in one company to prevent ‘AI’ to ‘fake it’, it only became more adept at hiding the lies. It is my assumption that this cannot be avoided with an ‘Asperger’-variant, since the concept of a ‘conscience’ is not programmed into it, less so if the developers envision its use in wars shaped after NATO’s wars, where ‘Might Makes Right’. This is not merely a nuisance, but a fundamental flaw for any country looking to use ‘AI’ to grow wealth for the country, and not merely for the owner.
